Enter to Win a *FREE* Moxie Camp Event Registration ($297 Value)

We are just a little under 2-months away from the inaugural Moxie Camp, a weekend experience for female changemakers who want to develop the vision and voice to make big-time positive social impact through their careers and businesses. I just peeked at the registration list, and although I don’t know the majority of the ladies who have secured their seats, after a little Google surfing I found myself in tears. I knew that my fellow Moxie Camp coaches, speakers, panelists, and I would attract some pheno-o-o-o-o-o-m-e-n-a-l women, but wow. Wow. This is an all-star participant list of women social entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, educators, and visionaries. Each Moxie Camper could be leading her own session. I am so excited to learn and grow from all of them. And you. Yes, I’m going to say it again. Wow.

Now, it’s time to make sure you get to New York for the one-of-a-kind weekend. For those of you who want to have your Early Bird ticket secured so that you can finalize your travel plans and start connecting with your fellow Campers in our private Facebook group, you can get registration taken care of in moments HERE.

If you’re more of a gambler or are sweating the event fee, you also have an opportunity to *win* your Moxie Camp seat. 2 lucky and deserving changemakers will be given the opportunity to participate for FREE in the Moxie Camp weekend and accompanying pre and post-event coaching calls.

Between TODAY and 11:59 PM PST on Saturday, May 19, the Moxie Camp team and I will be running a contest to identify the 2 women who most need to be at the New York Insight Meditation Center with us from June 29, 2012-July 1, 2012. We want to hear from entrants:

Hello, my name is April Wardlaw. I’m a 10th grade English teacher by day, and on nights and weekends I am the CEO of A&B Culinary Delights, a company I just started with my mother. Due to the fact that I am a teacher AND starting a business, my funds are limited. I hope that, when you read my essay below, my desire to be at Moxie Camp comes through and that you consider me for a free registration. Thanks for your time!

Usually when a man does something really bold, someone says “Wow that took balls!” or “Buddy you have a big set of balls on you.” I think that moxie is the feminine version of “balls,” wrapped up in a cute girly bow. I think that when a woman is able to do something courageous, new, different, and exciting then she has moxie! When a woman is able to use her voice to share her feelings or stand up for herself or what’s right, then she has moxie.

Moxie is something that I know that I have. I know that I have the balls it takes to be an entrepreneur, game changer, and role model. However, all of this takes great risk, responsibility and knowhow and no matter how “big my balls are” or how much moxie I already have, I could still use more.

The main reason I want to be at the Moxie Camp is because I am a budding entrepreneur who is very passionate about starting a business BUT I do not have a business background. Actually my background is in theatre arts and education, and here I am trying to break into the culinary industry. I know that I am not the first woman to change careers and follow their passion, but sometimes I do feel very alone.

This is why Moxie Camp would be a great place for me. I know that I would be embraced by a network of women who can give me the knowledge and support I need to not only continue to build my business but also offer priceless strategies and tips that will help my business be a success!

Another reason why I need to be at the Moxie Camp is because you say it is where female game changers are made. I see myself as a female game changer because the business I am creating with my mom will be something unique, different, and we will be the first entrepreneurs in our family’s history. Not to mention I dream of writing a cookbook that changes the way people think about cooking (mainly singles). Someday I dream of travel, culinary demonstrations across the nation, and a cooking show. I am sure that Moxie camp will provide me with the inspiration and motivation I need to make my dreams come true.

Moxie Camp would benefit from having me join for 2 simple reasons: I speak up AND I listen. Due to the fact that I am very vocal I am sure to be an active participant during the camp. However, just as much as I speak, I listen. I plan on opening my ears when instructors, speakers, and fellow campers are talking so that I can take in as much information as I can. One more reason Moxie Camp will benefit from having me is that I am an active tweeter and blogger so I promise to promote to the camp, share my experience, and recommend other change makers.
