My week in Maui was magical – and not just for the obvious reasons. Yes, the beach was divine. Every piece of fish I ate, scrumptious. But above all else, my time with myself – without my Monkey Mind – so restorative.
While I was less physically active than I’ve been during vacations in the past, I did take the opportunity to parasail. While I’ve flown in nothing but a harness before – in fact, as I would discover during my boat ride out into the ocean, it was with the same company on the same beach twenty-five years ago – this go around the experience was very different. It illuminated what Deepak Chopra calls, the realization that “every problem has a spiritual solution.”
As I share in the video below, whether one’s struggles are with her co-workers, employees, clients, and almost always beyond all else, with herself, anybody can apply the metaphor of parasailing to see the “problem” anew. It gives us a new lens for how to communicate with ourselves, and as a result, with the rest of the people in our world.
Discover why and how in the video below. (And be sure to enjoy the soothing sounds of the ocean in the background. While I am very at home in the desert here in Las Vegas, I’m a sucker – and I bet you are too – for the musicality of naturally flowing water.)
I’m off “the road” for the next few weeks, then at the end of June I’m headed to NYC for Moxie Camp (As a reminder, Early Bird registration is winding down so if you want to be at the premier event for female changemakers, grab your ticket NOW!). While in Manhattan, I’ll have the opportunity to celebrate with Claudia Chan at S.H.E. Summit Week. If you want to engage with phenomenal leaders such as Agapi Stassinoupolos and Zanaib Salbi, who like me are profiled as 1 of Claudia’s 100+ Remarkable Women, make sure to use discount code AV20 to save yourself some bucks!
